Riyadh – The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Foundation for Humanitarian Work
The board of trustees of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud’s International Foundation for Humanitarian Work held its 9th meeting at the foundation’s headquarters in Riyadh on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, to discuss the foundation’s work and projects. The meeting was attended by their royal highnesses the sons of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may Allah have mercy on his soul.
The board accepted the resignation of His Royal Highness Prince Khaled bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, commending His Royal Highness’ efforts during his tenure in serving the humanitarian goals on which the foundation was established for.
The board appointed His Royal Highness Prince Mutaib bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Board Trustees, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Chairman of the Board; and His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz as Chairman of the Board of Directors to succeed His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz who has been and serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors since June 21, 2016. The decision also included the restructuring of the board of Directors.
The board reviewed a report on the foundation’s achievements. It discussed future projects, reiterating its commitment to achieving the sublime goals of the vision laid by the founding king – may Allah have mercy on his soul. It is a vision built on contributing to humanitarian and charity work to serve our faith, homeland, nation, and humanity. It strives to promote tolerance and peace through the foundation’s work in 17 countries around the world.
