A Reality in Need of Change
For many years, the location of the Islamic University in Niger has posed real challenges for aspiring female students. Its isolation from residential areas, inadequate living conditions, and poor transportation options have made access to higher education difficult, leaving many young women without the opportunity to continue their studies.
A Turning Point: When Hope Seemed Distant, a Vision Took Shape
In response to this pressing need, and under the noble direction of the late Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, a transformative initiative was launched. The goal: to empower young women in Niger and neighboring countries by providing them with access to higher education in a setting that respects cultural values, encourages female participation in development, and promotes equity and knowledge-based progress.
